Outside of my professional life, I consider myself to be an avid rock climber. Over the last six years, I’ve challenged myself to fill the shoes of a rock climber, author, designer, photographer, publisher, project manager, salesman, and distributor to produce a comprehensive and accurate rock climbing guidebook to the Jackson and Pinedale, Wyoming region. This guidebook has been a personal project of mine that allows me to explore new technologies and media.
In the fall of 2011, my humbling journey finally came to fruition! The final product is a 208 full-color page guide to over 400 climbs ranging from 10-foot boulders to 600-foot free climbs. The guidebook is comprehensive: Photographic topos accurately depict routes, aerial photos eliminate confusion, precise road maps, satellite imagery, gear recommendations, approach details, and meticulous route descriptions guide climbers to and up the cliffs.
Seeing this book through to the end proved to be a bumpy road, but along the ride I made many friends, learned new skills, and lived some adventures. Hopefully my efforts prove to be a valuable and inspirational resource to the rest of the climbing community.
The Finished Product (2nd Edition):
Rock Climbing Jackson Hole & Pinedale, Wyoming – The Authoritative Day-climbing Guide
